Cole Lautermilch
Cole joined the firm as a law clerk in 2025. He graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center where he received the Francis E. Lucey, S.J. Award for finishing first in his class. He was a Blume Public Interest Scholar and an articles editor for the Georgetown Law Journal. He received the Associate Dean’s Award for Excellence in Clinic for his work in the Appellate Courts Immersion Clinic. He also interned at Gupta Wessler, Relman Colfax, the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, and the Special Litigation Section in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice.
Before law school, Cole was the Investigative Supervisor at Civil Rights Corps and a paralegal at the Federal Public Defender for the District of Columbia. He has a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a master’s degree from University College London. He is not yet licensed to practice law, and his application for admission to the District of Columbia bar is pending.
